A Much Needed Break – A Getaway to Stilts Calatagan Batangas

I have only been to the beach four or five times in my life – well that was as far as I can remember.  And those few times I was on the beach were marked by significant events in my life. The earliest memory I had of being at the beach was when I was around 5 years old and my cousins and I were playing – I was lying on the floater while my cousins were pushing me towards the water when my back was suddenly stung by a jellyfish. It was such a traumatic experience for me as a child that the next time I would be on the beach won’t be until 13 years later.

My honeymoon with my husband in the island of Boracay was my 3rd (or probably the fourth because I have another childhood memory of being on the beach aside from the one with the “jellyfish” encounter hehe) and the latest one was a couple of weeks ago in a resort just 3 hours away from Manila.

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

It has been a crazy and busy past month for me as a new mom that’s why updating my blog has not been a priority for me.. But with these photos I’d like to share our simple Christmas and New Year celebration.. Happy Holidays everyone! 🙂

Moment #3: Family Picture

There is always something so wonderful about having your family all together in a picture.  It is a way of capturing moments that might not happen again and memories can only be revisited through that simple photo.  Ever since my father died and realizing we haven’t taken much photos with him made me resolve to take as much photos with my family.  It is more special to have your family smiling in front of a camera just because it is your wedding day.  Though I was sad that my father was not with me on my big day, I rest in the thought that he is never far away.  Even after years of looking back to our wedding day I would still remember how giddy my mom and siblings were to have our pictures taken.
